BENZOTEF (Benzotephum).

The white crystalline powder and odorless. Soluble in water (1:10), alcohol, chloroform. Aqueous solutions are easily hydrolyzed.

Administered intravenously at a dose of 0.024 g (24 mg) in 20 ml of sterile isotonic sodium chloride solution. With a sharp decrease in the number of white blood cells and platelets, the introduction of the drug is stopped, the number of blood transfusions or stimulating leukocyte and platelet mass prescribed stimulants leykopoeza. The drug can also cause nausea and vomiting; administered if necessary in these cases chlorpromazine or other antiemetic agents.

Benzotef contraindicated in severe cachexia, leukopenia (leykopitov less than 4 x 10 9 / L), severe anemia, with active tuberculosis, violations of liver and kidney function, severe circulatory failure.
