Description of the medicine: Oxymetazoline (Oxymetazoline)

Oxymethazoline (Oxymetazoline).

3 - [(4,5-Dihydro-1H-imidazol-2-yl) methyl] -6- (1,1-dimethylethyl) -2,4-dimethylphenol hydrochloride.

Synonyms: Alka-Seltzer plus nasal spray, Afrin, Barthel drags anti-edema spray, Vik Sinex, 4-Wei, Lekonil, Nazivin, Nazol, Okukliya, Tabsin kold aerosol against rhinitis, Fazin, Fervex spray from rhinitis, Afrin, Alka-Seltzer plus Nasal spray, Bartell drugs decongestant spray, Fazin, Fervex nasal spray, Lekonyl, Nasivin, Nazol, 4-Way, Wick Sinex.

A1-Adrenostimulator of long-acting.

Applied with acute and allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, sinusitis, eustachitis, hay fever, allergic and non-infectious conjunctivitis.

Assign intranasal 2-3 inhalations (children under 12 years - 1 inhalation) 2 times a day or 1-2 drops adult 0.05% solution, children under 1 year - 0.01% solution, from 1 year to 6 years - 0.025 % Solution 2-3 times a day.

In the conjunctival sac, adults and children over 6 years of age are instilled 1-2 drops 3-4 times a day.

The drug is used for no more than 3 days.

Possible side effects: dryness and burning in the nasopharynx, agitation, insomnia, tachycardia, increased blood pressure, nausea.

The drug is contraindicated in arterial hypertension, severe atherosclerosis, arrhythmias, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, pregnancy, breast-feeding.

Forms of release: 0.05% spray for intranasal administration in bottles of 5, 20 and 30 ml and vials of 10 ml each; 0.01% solution in 5 ml dropper bottles, 0.025% and 0.05% in 10 ml; 0,025% solution (eye drops) in bottles (with a dispenser) of 10 ml.
