Xipamide (Xipamide).

4-Chloro-N- (2,6-dimethylphenyl) -3-sulfamoilbenzamid.

Synonym: Aquaphor, Aquaphor.

On chemical structure and action close to indapamide (the same applies to the benzamide group; instead of indole substituent contains dimethylphenyl radical).

Quickly and completely absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, with max of 1 hour, the T ½ - 7 hours; biotransformation in the liver, kidneys predominantly displayed.

Used as a diuretic and antihypertensive agent.

Are inside (with water) at a daily dose of from 0.01 to 0.04 g of 1-2 doses (up to 0.06-0.08 g per day).

The diuretic effect develops after 1 h after administration, reaching a maximum after 3-6 hours and lasts for 12-24 hours.

Possible side effects and contraindications such as when applying other salureticheskih diuretics. Sometimes the cause hypokalemia.
