Description of the medicine: Amorolfine (Amorolfine)

AMOROLFIN (Amorolfine).

Cis-2,6-Dimethyl-4- [2-methyl-3- (p-tert-pentylphenyl) propyl] -morpholine.

Synonym: Lotseril, Loceryl.

Like other imidazole antifungal drugs, it has antifungal (fungistatic and fungicidal) effects, damaging the cell membrane of fungi due to a violation of the synthesis of sterols.

Apply externally (in the form of varnish) for the treatment and prevention of fungal infections of nails (onychomycosis) caused by dermatophytes, yeast and mold fungi, actinomycetes, as well as for the treatment of skin candidiasis.

The varnish is applied with the help of the attached spatula on the nails of the hands and feet 1-2 times a week. Before use, the affected areas are removed with a needle and rubbed with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol. In the future, the procedure is carried out in the same sequence. Treatment continues until the growth of new nails. With lesions of the hand nails, the course of treatment usually lasts up to 6 months, with nail lesions of the legs - up to 12 months.

When applying varnish, a burning sensation is possible.

The drug is not prescribed for children.

To avoid flushing off the varnish in case of contact (work) with organic solvents, waterproof gloves should be worn.

Product: 5% nail polish in bottles of 2.5 and 5 ml (complete with one-off saws, spatulas and tampons).
