Natamycin (Natamycin).

Stereoisomer 22 - [(3-amino-3,6-dideoxy-β-D-mannopyranosyl) oxy] -1,3,26-trihydroxy-12-methyl-10-oxo-6,11,28-trioksatritsiklo [22.3. 1.0./5.7/]oktakoza-8,14,16,18,20-pentaen-25-karbonovoy acid.

Synonym: Pimafucin, Pimafucin.

Polyene antibiotics.

The powder is white or cream color. Insoluble in water, soluble in glacial acetic acid and dimethylformamide, slightly soluble in methanol. Sensitive to light.

Active against yeast (Torulopsis, Rhoduturola), yeasts (Candida), dermatomitsetami (Trichophyton, Microsporum, Epidermophyton), other pathogenic fungi (Aspergillus, Penicillium), as well as Trichomonas.

Not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract, skin and mucous membranes.

Assign with fungal skin lesions and mucous membranes, including acute pseudomembranous and atrophic candidiasis after antibiotic therapy, corticosteroids and cytotoxic drugs, genital candidiasis, otomycosis, skin candidiasis, nail and intestines, vaginitis, vulvitis, ringworm and others. Using well as trichomoniasis.

Administered orally and topically.

Inside appoint (with intestinal candidiasis) for adults 0.1 g 4 times a day for 1 week, children - 2 times a day.

When ringworm on the affected skin is applied cream or suspension at otomycosis - cream once or several times a day for 10-14 days; vaginitis administered intravaginally at 1 suppository for 3-6 days at their assigned during thrust tablets also (1-4 times a day for 10-20 days).

Possible side effects: ingestion - nausea, vomiting; when applied topically - burning sensation.

Contraindications: porphyria.

Method of issuance: pills to 0.1 g (N. 20); vaginal suppositories of 0.1 g (N. 3); 2% cream in tubes of 30 g; 2.5% suspension for external use in vials of 20 ml.

Storage: List B.

Pimafukort (Pimafucort) .Maz, lotion and cream, 1 g (ml) containing natamycin and 0.01 g of hydrocortisone (10 mg) and 0.0035 g of neomycin (3.5 mg).

Applied with infection by bacteria or fungi of superficial dermatoses (applied to the affected skin 2-4 times a day for 2-4 weeks).
