ENOXACINE (Enoxacin).

1-Ethyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7- (1-piperazinyl) -1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylic acid.

Powder with a yellow tinge.

It is active against some types of gram-positive (staphylococcus, but not streptococcus) and gram-negative (intestinal and pseudomonas aeruginosa, klebsiella, gonococcus, proteus) aerobic bacteria.

Absorbed quickly and completely, bioavailability is 90%; C max - 1-3 h, T S - 3-6 h; Penetrates through the histohematological barriers, including the kidneys and the prostate gland; Is excreted by the kidneys.

Applied mainly with uncomplicated gonorrhea and urinary tract infections.

Assign inside: for infections of the urinary tract - 0.2 g (with prostatitis 0.4 g) for 5-14 days; With acute gonorrheal urethritis - 0.2-0.4 g once.

Possible side effects: dyspepsia, impaired liver function, myalgia, arthralgia, photosensitivity, attention disorder, cough, tachycardia, hypotension, convulsions, etc.

The drug is contraindicated for epilepsy.

Inhibits microsomal enzymes of the liver.
