Description of the medicine: Antipsoriaticum (Antipsoriaticum)

ANTIPSORIATICUM (Antipsoriaticum).

Ointment containing 0.001 or 0.0025 g of trichloroethylamine in 100 g of Vaseline medical (1: 40,000 or 1: 100,000), white or yellow.

Trichlorotriethylamine ("nitrogenous mustard gas") refers to substances of skin-tearing action. When applied to the skin, it has an irritating effect and can cause lesions of varying degrees - from mild erythema to the formation of blisters, followed by ulceration and tissue necrosis (depending on the concentration, duration of exposure, individual sensitivity, etc.). Severe lesions are observed when trichlorotriethylamine hits mucous membranes (especially the eye). Local action is accompanied by general-resorptive toxic phenomena.

In a very large dilution (1: 100 00 - 1: 40 000) trichlorotriethylamine is proposed for the treatment of psoriasis. The mechanism of action is not clear enough. A certain role can play an irritating effect on skin receptors, as well as interaction with skin proteins and the effect on enzyme systems.

Apply the ointment "Antipsoriatikum" with all forms of psoriasis (in the stationary stage), and sometimes also with nest alopecia.

Assign the drug externally. Begin with careful application of ointment in a concentration of 1: 100 000 for limited lesions 1 to 2 times a day for 2 to 3 days. With increased sensitivity of the skin, the drug is canceled. With good tolerability, all affected skin is lubricated 2 times a day. The first 5 - 6 days ointment is applied without bandages, on the 7th day they take a break, the patient takes a bath and changes clothes. From the 2nd week, if well tolerated, smear the affected skin with ointment (or rub it lightly) and apply waxed paper, fixing it with bandages, in the first 2 to 3 days for 1 to 2 hours, for the next 2 to 4 hours. After 2 Ned from the beginning of treatment make a break for 3 - 5 days, then the treatment is renewed. In this period, prescribe 1 - 2% salicylic ointment.

Ointment is rubbed in the direction of hair growth (otherwise the appearance of folliculitis). Do not apply the ointment immediately after the bath to avoid exacerbation of the process. You can not combine the treatment of this ointment with ultraviolet radiation. Do not allow the ointment to reach the eyelids and eyes. Caution should be applied to the ointment on easily irritated areas of the skin, especially in women (mammary glands, etc.).

Usually treatment lasts 3 to 5 weeks.

Treatment should be carried out under the supervision of a physician. A systematic (once a week) study of the morphological composition of the blood is necessary. If erythema and pruritus are intensified when the drug is used, the treatment is stopped (usually for 2 to 3 days) until these phenomena are eliminated, and then a lower concentration (1: 100,000) is prescribed. If irritation resumes, treatment is discontinued.

At the end of treatment, patients should avoid intense sun exposure for a long time.

When nesting baldness ointment "Antipsoriaticum" rub at a concentration of 1: 100 000, gradually moving to a concentration of 1:40 000.
