Description of the medicine: Pancreatinum (Pancreatinum)

PANCREATIN (Pancreatinum).

Enzyme preparation from the pancreas of slaughter cattle. Amorphous fine powder is grayish or yellowish with a characteristic odor. Slightly soluble in water.

Contains mainly trypsin and amylase. Trypsin in the small intestine cleaves proteins, and amylase hydrolyzes starch.

Applied with achilia, chronic pancreatitis with insufficient pancreatic function, with digestive disorders associated with diseases of the liver and pancreas, anacid and gipatsidnom gastritis, chronic enterocolitis.

Assign inside as a powder or tablets 3 - 4 times a day. The powder is taken before meals and washed down with an alkaline solution (borzhom or sodium bicarbonate solution).

Tablets are taken with food or immediately after it, without cracking.

For adults, a single dose of pancreatin is 0.5-1.0 g, a daily dose of 4 g.

For children under 1 year of age, pancreatin in powder is prescribed 0.1-1.15 g, 2 years 0.2 g, 3-4 years 0.25 g, 5-6 years 0.3 g; 7 - 9 years - 0.4 g, 10 - 14 years - 0.5 g per reception. The drug is given in tablets to children in the following doses: at the age of 6-7 years 1 tablet (0.25 g), 8-9 years 1 - 2 tablets (0.25-0.5 g), 10-14 years 2 tablets 0.5 g).

The course of treatment is from 4 to 6 weeks to 2 - 3 months or more.

The drug is usually well tolerated, but there may be allergic reactions.

Form release: powder and tablets, soluble in the intestine, 0.25 g (Taulettae Pancreatini 0.25 enterosolubiles) in orange glass banks of 60 pieces.

Storage: in a cool dry place.
