Near the Osokorki metro station in Kiev, public activists and local residents tried to prevent new buildings from leaving the metro station, the fence of which appeared on Monday morning.
According to LB.UA, on the morning of Monday, January 17, the wasteland near the metro station, which leads to the transition to Sribnokilskaya Street, was fenced. On this section of Bazhan avenue, they plan to build a new shopping and entertainment center Le Boulvard ("Le Boulevard").
Nearly 200 residents of the microdistrict at 19:00 left at the site of a future construction site to demolish the fence. Activists said that construction documents were issued even under Chernovetsky, the Kyiv City Council commission had not yet verified them, and there was no public discussion of the construction. In addition, according to them, the construction prevents passage to the subway.
However, the developer, apparently, was ready for the pre-announced action. At the appointed time, four buses with police officers arrived at the construction site. Journalists identified in them the former "Berkut". The police refused to introduce themselves, behaved aggressively, immediately began to detain the activists. A brawl began, during which one of the law enforcement officers hit the LB.ua correspondent in the stomach. Also went to the journalist of the "New Channel". About 10 people were pushed into the buses by the police and tried to take them out, but not towards the local department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but towards the center.
Local residents tried to rescue the comrades, blocking the bus route and starting to throw stones. However, police officers pushed them back.
According to activists, the police in the Darnytskyi district "roof" the developer - SKY-BUD LTD, owned by the former deputy mayor of Kiev, Valery Mironov.
UPD: 11/18/2014 "Day of Popular Anger": In the center of Budapest, more than 10 thousand people protested against corruption of the authorities. PHOTO + VIDEO
Tonight, November 17, in Budapest, more than ten thousand Hungarians came to the parliament building to protest against corruption.
According to NV, the organizers and participants note that they are protesting against state corruption, tax increases and the current foreign policy of Hungary (openly anti-European and pro-Kremlin), and demand freedom, transparency, responsible leadership and attachment to real European values.
People cordoned off the parliament after Prime Minister Viktor Orban refused to dismiss Tax Head Ildiko Vid, who was recently banned from entering the United States due to corruption charges.
Exactly a week ago, the protesters were already gathering with a similar demand, and also requested EU intervention. Currently, there is a crush between activists and police at the entrance to the parliament building.
According to local media, the head of the Hungarian tax service is on the US blacklist, along with six other Hungarian officials who are barred from entering the country due to corruption charges. Ildiko Vida denies all charges against her.
