The rules of the game in Darts (Darts)
Darts are a series of related games in which players throw darts at a round target hanged on a wall. Although various types of targets and rules have been used in the past, at present the term darts usually refers to a standardized game with a specific target design and rules.
History of darts
The game originated several centuries ago on the British Isles. Until now, darts are a traditional game played in pubs in the UK, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, the United States and some others. In addition, darts are also played professionally.
The appearance of the name may have its origin from the name of the cross-section of the tree. The old name Dartboard is translated as "butt". This could mean that the bottom of the barrel from the wine was originally a target for darts.
There is speculation that the game originated among soldiers. Soldiers threw short arrows at the bottom of the barrel or into the lower part of the tree trunks. In a dry tree, the cracks usually diverged, creating a "Sector".
Standard marking with sector 20 at the top was created in 1896 by a carpenter from Lancashire Brian Gamlin. However, many other configurations have been used for many years and at different geographic locations.
Targets for darts are usually made from sisal (compressed agave fibers). The idea of using sisal for the production of targets belongs to Nodor and in 1932 the first sisal targets appeared. The production of targets is concentrated in Kenya and China, which is explained by the proximity to sources of raw materials. The target is divided into sectors, which are assigned numbers from 1 to 20.
Sisal targets differ in the shape of the separation wire:
- Conventional (round) wire, is characterized by a large percentage of dart jumps, when hit into a wire and a low price. Used in targets: Winmau Pro SFB, Nodor Supabull II, Harrows Club.
- Triangular wire, is characterized by a reduced percentage of rebound darts from the wire. When you hit the wire, the darts "move" on the edge to the nearest sector. Used in targets: Nodor Supawire, Harrows Apex Wire, Winmau Diamond.
- The finest separating wire, used in professional targets, is characterized by a minimum number of bounces and a fairly high price. Used in targets: Winmau Blade 4, Unicorn Eclipse Pro, Harrows Matrix, Nodor Supamatch.
In 1984, the center of the target "Staple-free bullseye" appeared, which significantly reduced the number of dart jumps from the target.
The height of the target and the distance to it
In a standard game, the center of the target must be 1.73 meters (5 feet, 8 inches) from the floor, and the distance from the target's face to the line with which players throw darts is 2.37 meters (7 feet, 9.25) inches).
Standard target sizes:
- internal width of the rings "dublov" and "treble" 8 mm.
- the internal diameter of the "bull's eye" is 12.7 mm.
- the inner diameter of the outer center ring is 31.8 mm.
- distance from the center of the target to the outer side of the wire ring "dublov" 170.0 mm.
- the distance from the center of the target to the outer side of the wire of the "treble" ring is 107.0 mm.
- the total diameter of the target is 451.0 mm ± 10.0 mm.
- wire thickness 1.5 mm.
How to play Darts
In Darts, there are 2 players or 2 teams. The team can consist of 2 or more people. Before the start of the game, everyone in the game can make 9 shots to warm up. Then, to determine which team will start first, one of the accomplices of each team makes a control roll. The team, whose participant got closer to the center of the target Bullseye, starts the game first in turn.
Each player throws 3 darts in one approach. Traditionally, 2 sets of darts are thrown - one by each team, then darts are removed from the target. The throw is not counted in the case of an interception for the throw line, or when the player drops the dart by grabbing the throw line. In order for the throw to be effective, the darts must remain in the field of the target for more than 5 seconds after the final throw of the accomplice. If the dart is stuck in another dart or falls out of the target, the throw is not counted.
Points in Darts are considered as follows:
- - Throw in the sector field - according to the number indicated on the sector.
- - A throw in the outer ring of the target gives a doubling of the sector number and increases the <double>.
- - A throw in the inner ring of the target gives a tripling of the sector number and increases <treble>.
- - Hit in the outer ring <BullsEye> gives 25 points and increases <Bull>, and the inner ring <BullsEye> - 50 points, and increases the <double-bull.>.
These are the basic Darts rules. There are various games in darts. About them we will tell further ...
SET OF POINTS
Exercise <Set of points> predicts the performance permanently or alternately, according to the lot) 30 shots in 10 series of 3 darts for the best amount. The result of the exercise is determined by the sum of points scored as a result of all clear hits in the target. If you hit the doubling and trebling zones, the points will grow accordingly two and three times, respectively, and add up to the total points.
In Exercise <Sector 20>, like the Exercise <Scoring>, the player throws 30 shots (10 series of 3 darts), trying to collect as much as possible a large amount only due to hits in sector 20 of the target. Hit in the doubling zone counts 40 points, in a zone of trebling 60 points. Darts that do not fall into the zone <20> are not added to the total sum result.
The meaning of the game is to first get hold of / close certain numbers on the board and score more points. The player who makes it first is considered the winner. The game involved the numbers: 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and <bullseye>. Players throw darts in turns. Three shots for one approach. In order to close the number, the player must knock it out three times.
This can be achieved:
- - or 3 single hits in this room.
- - or one single hit in the "double ring" for the given number.
- - or by one hit in the "triple ring" for the given number.
If one player punches one number three times, then this number becomes his property. If two players take over the number, then it is considered "closed" and no longer participates in the game.
In order to close the apple you need:
- - Or three times to get into the "bull's eye" (sector 25)
- - Or once in the "bullseye" (sector25) and once in the "Double Apple" (sector 50)
In the event that one player "possessed" any number, and the second one does not yet, then the first player can score points on it, until this number is "closed". Points from hit in the room begin to accrue to the player from the moment when he takes possession of the number, but with this number is not yet "closed." Numbers can go into ownership or be "closed" in any order at the player's will. The player must not refer to the number in which he makes the throw. After the number goes into the "property" of the player, then getting into the "Double ring" or "Triple ring" for the given number leads to doubling or tripling additional points for this number.
The winner is the one who "closed" the first all the numbers and the "bullseye" and with all this has the most points. If two players finish the game and at the same time have a monotonous number of points or do not have points at all, the winner is the one who first got all the numbers and <bullseye> in the "property".
If the player is the first to receive all the numbers in the "property", but he has less points than the competitor, he must continue the game and score points on the <unclosed> numbers, until he accumulates the same or more points than his own competitor, or all numbers will not be "closed".
Note: This game has an interesting feature - if one player quickly "closed" a sector that the competitor has not yet closed, then every hit in this sector is recorded by points at the face value of the sector. You can play ahead of time and the game is played until all sectors are closed by one player, and you can play for the points, and then you can play until both players close, and the winner is the one who writes down more points to the competitor. They play together or in pairs.
AROUND THE CLOCK (ЦИФЕРБЛАТ)
One of the easiest games. In it, the limitless number of players can play a role. Each player must alternately get into the numbers from 1, 2, 3, 4 and up to 20 (the last one must hit the number 25). After the player makes three shots, the turn of the next player comes. The player who hits all the numbers first becomes the winner.
The same write-off points. The peculiarity of this game is that 170 is the largest number of points that is written off by 3 darts, i.e. for one approach. This is done like this: tripling 20, trebling 20, center (because 50 is a doubling of 25, the game may be over in the center).
Note: some professionals believe that the meaning of this game is specifically to write off 170 for one approach.
It is necessary to score more points than the previous player, at least one point, but more. The exception is only 180 points. Each player can make a mistake 5 times. On the 6th - you leave the game. Great collective game. You can play with a five - six. It will be lively and funny. Perhaps the only game in which it is not interesting to play together.
Players randomly choose two diametrically opposite sectors and try to hit them by doubling and tripling along the straight line, for example, doubling the sector 11 - tripling the sector 11 - a small (greenish) ring - tripling the sector 6 and doubling the sector 6. The winner is the one who will pass first a contrived line for these points.
The rules of the game are reduced to alternately hit the sectors from the 1st to the 20th, then the "Doubling" and the "Twilight" of the 20th sector, and complete the game by hitting the <Bullseye> target. In the event that in a series of throws all three darts achieve the goal (for example: 1, 2, 3 or 12, 13, 14, etc.), the thrower continues his game out of turn. The field of the sector is considered to be the entire area, including the rings "Doubling" and "Utensils" of the account. The winner is the player who first struck> <Apple>.
In a series of 21 darts, the player tries to score the largest amount of points, alternately striking the zones, beginning with <1>, then <2>, <3> etc., including the central zone <Bullseye>. During the game you need to clearly observe the order of the zones, which should go on increasing. If you hit a zone that is not suitable for this order, the total hit is not counted.
If you hit the <Utry> of this sector, the account moves three positions forward. (For example: you need to hit sector 10. You find yourself in the "Falling" of this sector. Now your goal is sector 13). When hit in the "Doubling" the account accordingly moves two positions forward.
ROUND ON DOUBLE
The field of each sector is only its "Doubling".
Note: This game most all contributes to the development of your technique. Be sure to include the "Double by Round" in your daily workouts. For contrast, you can also in <Round by Triple> by similar rules.
Each player is given 27 points first. The first 3 darts you need to hit the "Doubling" of sector 1. With all this, each hit in the target brings 2 points (1x2). If none of the darts hit the Doubling of sector 1, then 2 points (1 × 2) are subtracted from the current number of points (27). The next 3 darts you need to hit the "Doubling" of the sector 2. With all this, each hit on the target brings 4 points (2x2). If none of the darts hit the Double of Sector 2, then 4 (2x2) is subtracted from the current number of points. Thus, the game is played up to the 20th sector of the target. The winner is the one who after the rolls in the "doubling" sector 20 left more points. The player, whose account during the game is less than one, is eliminated from the competition.
The playing field of the game is <Bullseye> and <Greenish ring>. Each player initially does not have points and collects them in sets of three darts, taking into account only <50> and <25>. The winner is the one who scored 1000 points. in the game there is a leader of the bust.
Note: Depending on the level of your preparedness, you can play by these rules at <500> or <250>.
ALL FIVE PEOPLE
In a series of three darts players aim to score the highest number of multiple 5. A series of shots, which gives a number not a multiple of 5, does not count. The number 5 gives 1 point, 10 - 2 points, 50 - 10 points, etc. The winner is the one who will score 51 points first. in the game acts as the leader of the "Bust". (<SHANGHAI>). Hit for 1 round in the usual, double and triple sector gives the victory - "Shanghai". The game is contained in the successive hit in the segments from 1 to 20. Hit in the regular sector gives 1 point, in the double - 2 points, in the triple - 3 points. The winner is the one who will score the highest score. If the player during the 1st round falls into the regular, double and triple segments, then the automatic becomes the winner, independently from the number of points.
301 PARCHESSI (KILLER!)
The game starts with 0 (zero). Even in the process of playing one of the players achieves a similar number of points with any of the accomplices of the game, then by that he destroys the points of the competitor, and he is forced to start the game again. When a set is more than 301 points, the player automatically loses the right of the next throw and the machine gives it by the value of points exceeding 301. The player who scored the first 301 points wins.
The game consists of 9 rounds. In the 1st round the player must get into 1, in the second round in the deuce, etc. up to nine. Favorite - the player with the most points.
