Darts (English darts - darts) - a series of related games in which players throw darts at a round target, hung on a wall. Although various types of targets and rules were used in the past, the term darts now generally refers to a standardized game with a specific target design and rules.
The game originated several centuries ago in the British Isles. Until now, darts is a traditional game that is played in the pubs of Great Britain, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, the United States and some others. In addition, darts are played at a professional level.
The appearance of the name may have its origin from the name of the cross section of the tree. The old name Dartboard translates as "butt". This may mean that the bottom of the wine barrel was originally a target for darts.
There is an assumption that the game originated among the soldiers. The soldiers threw short arrows at the bottom of the barrel or at the bottom of the tree trunks. In a dry tree, cracks usually diverged, creating a “Sector”.
The standard layout with sector 20 on top was created in 1896 by a carpenter from Lancashire, Brian Gamlin. However, many other configurations have been used for many years and in different geographical locations.
Darts targets are usually made from sisal (compressed agave fibers). The idea of using sisal for the production of targets belongs to Nodor, and in 1932 the first sisal targets appeared. Target production is concentrated in Kenya and China, which is explained by the proximity to the sources of raw materials. The target is divided into sectors, which are assigned numbers from 1 to 20.
Sisal targets differ in the form of separation wire:
- The usual (round) wire, differs in the big percent of rebounds of darts, at hit in a wire and the low price. Used in targets: Winmau Pro SFB, Nodor Supabull II, Harrows Club.
- Triangular wire, differs by a reduced percentage of rebound of darts from wire. When hit in the wire, the darts "move" on the verge of the nearest sector. Used in targets: Nodor Supawire, Harrows Apex Wire, Winmau Diamond.
- The thinnest separating wire, used in professional targets, is distinguished by a minimum number of rebounds and a fairly high price. Used in targets: Winmau Blade 4, Unicorn Eclipse Pro, Harrows Matrix, Nodor Supamatch.
In 1984, a staple-free bullseye target-free mount appeared, which significantly reduced the number of bounces of darts from the target.
Target height and distance to it
In a standard game, the target center should be at a height of 1.73 meters (5 feet, 8 inches) from the floor, and the distance from the front of the target to the line from which players throw darts is 2.37 meters (7 feet, 9.25 in.)
Standard target sizes:
- the internal width of the rings “double” and “requirements” is 8 mm.

- the distance from the center of the target to the outer side of the wire of the “double” ring is 170.0 mm.

How to play darts
Darts are played by 2 players or 2 teams. A team may consist of 2 or more people. Before the game, everyone can make 9 throws to warm up. Then, to determine which team will start first, one of the accomplices of each team makes a control throw. The team, a member of which got closer to the center of the Bullseye target, starts the game first in turn.
Each player throws 3 darts in one approach. Traditionally, 2 sets of darts are thrown - one by each team, after which the darts are removed from the target. A throw is not counted in the event of a spade on the line of throw, or when a player drops a dart, having crossed over the line of throw. In order for the throw to be effective, the darts must remain in the target field for more than 5 seconds after the final throw of the accomplice. If the dart gets stuck in a different dart or falls out of the target, the throw is not counted.
Points in Darts are calculated as follows:
- - Throw in the sector field - by the number indicated on the sector.
- - Throwing into the outer ring of the target doubles the sector number and increases the <double>.
- - Throwing into the inner ring of the target triples the sector number and increases the <requirement>.
- - Getting into the outer ring <BullsEye> gives 25 points and increases <Bull>, and the inner ring <BullsEye> - 50 points, and <double-bull> increases.

SET OF POINTS
The exercise <Set of points> foresees execution constantly or alternately, according to the draw) 30 shots in 10 series of 3 darts for the best amount. The result of the exercise is determined by the sum of points scored as a result of all clear hits on the target. When it enters the doubling and tripling zones, the glasses, respectively, grow two and three times and sum up to the total amount of points.
In the exercise <Sector 20>, like the exercise <Set of points>, the player throws 30 shots (10 sets of 3 darts), trying to get as large a sum as possible only by hitting the <sector 20> target. The hits in the doubling zone count 40 points, in the tripling zone 60 points. Darts that do not fall into the <20> zone are not added to the total result.
The meaning of the game is to be the first to seize / close certain numbers on the tablet and score more points. The player who will do this first is considered the winner. The numbers in the game are: 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15 and <apple>. Players throw darts in turn. Three shots in one shot. In order to close the number, the player must knock him out three times.
This can be achieved:
- - or 3 single hits on this number.
- - or one single hit in the "double ring> for this number.

If one player knocks one number three times, then this number becomes his property. If two players take possession of a number, then it is considered <closed> and no longer participates in the game.
In order to close the apple you need:

In case one player <captured> any number, and the 2nd one is not yet, then the 1st player can score points on it until this number is <closed>. Points from getting into the number begin to accrue to the player from the moment he takes possession of the number, but for all this, this number is not <closed>. Numbers can go into the property or be <closed> in any order at the request of the player. The player should not name the number in which he makes the throw. After the number goes into the player’s <property>, then getting into the <Double ring> or <Triple ring> for this number will double or triple the extra points for that number.
The winner is the one who <closed> the first all the numbers and <apple> and with all this has the most points. If two players have finished the game and for all this they have the same number of points or do not have any points at all, the one who won the first place in <property> won all the numbers and the <apple> won.
If a player is the first to get all the numbers in <property>, but he has fewer points than the competitor’s, he must continue the game and score points on the <unclosed> numbers until he has the same or more points than his own competitor, or all numbers will not be <closed>.
Note: This game has an interesting feature - if one player is faster <closed> a sector that a competitor has not yet closed, then each hit in this sector is recorded with points at the sector nominal. You can play ahead of the curve and then the game is played until all sectors are closed by one player, or you can play for points, and then you can play until both players close and the one who writes more points to the competitor wins. One of the easiest games. An unlimited number of players can play the role. Each player must alternately hit numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and up to 20 (the latter must hit the number 25). After a player makes three throws, the next player’s turn comes. The player who hits all the numbers first becomes the winner.
The same scoring points. The peculiarity of this game is that 170 is the highest number of points, which is deducted by 3 darts, i.e. in one go. This is done in the following way: tripling 20, tripling 20, center (since 50 is a doubling of 25, the game can be over to the center).
Note: some professionals believe that the meaning of this game is specifically to write off 170 for one approach.
It is necessary to score more points than the previous player, at least for one point, but more. The exception is only 180 points. Each player can make a mistake 5 times. On the 6th, you quit the game. Great collective game. You can play with five players - six. It will be lively and fun. Perhaps the only game that is not interesting to play together.
Players randomly choose two diametrically opposed sectors and try to hit them by doubling and tripling in the invented straight line, for example, doubling sector 11 - tripling sector 11 - small (greenish) ring - tripling sector 6 and doubling sector 6. The one who passes first invented line at these points.
The rules of the game boil down to alternately hitting the sectors from the 1st to the 20th, then <Doubling> and <Tripling> of the 20th sector, and ending the game by hitting the <Bullseye> target. In the case of a series of throws, all three darts achieve the goal (for example: 1, 2, 3 or 12, 13, 14, etc.), the thrower continues his game out of turn. The credit field of a sector is its entire area, including the “Doubling” and “Utroeniye” rings of the account. The winner is the player who first hit> <Apple>.
In the series <21> with three darts, the player tries to score the highest amount of points, alternately hitting zones, starting with <1>, then <2>, <3>, etc., including the central zone <Bullseye>. During the game you need to strictly observe the sequence of zones, which should go on increasing. When entering a zone that does not fit this sequence, the result of the hit is not counted.
When hit in the "Morning" of this sector, the account moves three positions ahead. (For example: you need to hit sector 10. You fall into the “Milling” of this sector. Now your goal is sector 13). When hit in "Doubling" the account accordingly moves two positions forward.
ROUND BY DOUBLE
The scoring field of each sector is only its <Doubling>.

Each player is first given 27 points. The first 3 darts need to hit <Doubling> of sector 1. At the same time, each hitting the target brings 2 points (1x2). If none of the darts hit the "Doubling" of sector 1, then 2 points (1x2) are subtracted from the available number of points (27). The next 3 darts need to hit <Doubling> of sector 2. At the same time, each hitting the target brings 4 points (2x2). If none of the darts hit the "Doubling" of sector 2, then 4 (2x2) is subtracted from the available number of points. Thus, the game is up to the 20th sector of the target. The winner is the one who has after the throws in the "Doubling" of the sector 20 left more points. The player whose score during the game becomes less than one is eliminated from the competition.
<Bullseye> and <Green Ring> are the credits of the game. Each player initially does not have points and collects them in a series of three darts, taking into account only <50> and <25>. The winner is the one who scored 1000 points. in the game acts brute force.
Note: Depending on your level of preparedness, you can play by these rules in <500> or <250>.
In a series of three darts, the players rush to dial the largest number of a multiple of 5. A series of throws, which gives a number not a multiple of 5, do not count. The number 5 gives 1 point, 10 - 2 points, 50 - 10 points, and so on. The winner is the one who gets the first 51 points. in the game acts brute force <Busting>. (<SHANGHAI>). A hit for 1 round in a regular, double and triple sector gives a victory - “Shanghai”. The game is contained in the alternate hit in the segments from 1 to 20. Hitting the normal sector gives 1 point, double - 2 points, triple - 3 points. The winner is the one who scores the highest number of points. If a player during the 1st round enters the regular, double and triple segments, the machine becomes the winner, independently of the number of points.
301 PARCHESSI (RUN!)
The game starts from 0 (zero). During the game, one of the players achieves a similar amount of points with someone from the game's accomplices, he thereby destroys the competitor's glasses, and he is forced to start the game again. With a total of more than 301 points, the player loses the right of the next shot automatically and gives it by the amount of points in excess of 301. The player with the first 301 points wins.
The game consists of 9 rounds. In the first round, the player must get to 1, in the second round, a deuce, etc. to nine. The favorite is the player with the most points.
