I made a wind farm for living in the country and for three years she has been comfortable with me. Although interest to work in this direction remained.

About the number of blades, I decided for myself to use slow-speed wind wheels with a number of blades at least six. Calmness and safety is more expensive. I first made a three-lobed three-meter creation, and when it came out on the back of the house and the neighbors hid in the corners. By popular demand, this machine was disassembled for life.

Six-blade is very good both for speed and compactness. Installation and dismantling takes a minute of clean time, because I dismantle it when I leave the dacha.

This model of the wind farm is designed specifically as a dacha option. It functions as a charging station and works in conjunction with a 12v 55a / h battery.

The windmobile with a diameter of 1.6 meters has six blades mounted on the studs with thread M12, which are twisted into the central flange of the wind wheel.

Blade blades are made of aluminum sheet 2mm thick, 120mm wide, 600mm long. Rolled into a groove with a twist axis offset from the center line by an angle of 10 degrees.

At the end, the blades of the blades are attached to the bushings with thread M12 by means of which it is fixed to the pin and after balancing the wind wheel, by winding the blades closer to the center of the wind wheel or vice versa, it is fixed with M12 nuts.

Reducer planetary boosting 1:12 (preferably 1:15).

The generator is an electric motor on permanent magnets from the drive of a tape drive of "ancient" computers of Bulgarian production with parameters of 300 W, 36 V, 1600 rpm.

The cable from the generator goes down inside the mast. I do not use current collector rings. Practice has shown that there is no great need for them.

The pivot point, made on bearings, is displaced relative to the axis of the wind wheel to ensure removal from under strong wind.

The tail of the wind wheel is mounted hinged and spring-loaded. Due to this, and the shifted axis of the wind wheel, the installation automatically goes out of the wind as its speed increases above the calculated speed. The spring force can be adjusted.

The mast for the wind turbine is used telescopic, made of water pipes of diameters close in size. The thinnest pipe is not less than 40 mm in internal diameter.

The control is carried out by the control unit, which must always be connected to the wind farm, in order to avoid the work of the wind wheel "in raznos".

The control unit performs three tasks:

1 - stabilizes the charging voltage of the battery and prevents the charging current from exceeding the allowable values;

2 - stabilizes the load of the wind farm, with a fully charged battery and the absence of external energy consumers, by connecting the ballast load, so that the wind farm does not go off without load;

3 - performs the function of electric brake.

I will try to explain the operation of the control device (the schematic diagram is attached). It consists of two modules. The module on the OU2 pulse voltage regulator with a current limiter set to a maximum current equal to 10 percent of the battery capacity. Voltage at the output of the stabilizer = 14.2 V. The module on OU1 is a switching load switch. It comes into operation when an input voltage of about 18v appears. Grow, it can up to this value, if the consumers and the charge of the battery do not choose the power produced at the moment. Then the switch connects a load resistor in the key pulse mode, which is selected in such a way as to ensure the selection of maximum power from the generator. If necessary, brake the rotation of the wind wheel, smoothly variable resistor reduce the voltage at pin 4 OU1, open the field-effect transistor T4 and the connected load stop it.

The described wind farm corresponds to the parameters given in the table.
