Exercises for eye health
Human vision (visual perception) is a person's ability to perceive information by converting the energy of electromagnetic radiation of the light range, carried out by the visual system. The processing of the light signal begins on the retina of the eye, then the photoreceptors are excited, the visual information is transferred and transformed in the neuronal layers with the formation of the cortex of the cerebral hemispheres in the occipital lobe.
When you continuously sit at work, burying yourself in the monitor, by the middle of the day you begin to feel unbearable eye fatigue from overexertion. But to turn off the laptop or computer, postponing the case for later, can afford a few.
Shram.kiev.ua collected 10 simple exercises for the eyes, which are easy to do right on the job, having spent no more than 15 minutes on it.
Look Into the Darkness
Lower your elbows on the table. Close your eyes and put your palms on them. Relax and look into the darkness. Hold in this position for 1-3 minutes.
Movement of the eyes from side to side
Stand up or sit up straight. Look straight ahead. Without moving your head, look to the left. Focus on what you see. Then look to the right. Focus on what you see. Move the view from side to side 5 times. Repeat this cycle 3 times.
Move the eyes up and down
Sit up straight and look in front of you. Then look up and focus on what you see. Look down. Do not be afraid to wrinkle your forehead or frown. Look up and down 5 times. Repeat the entire cycle 3 times.
Moving the view diagonally
Look straight ahead. Look down and to the left. Then look at the diagonal and look up and to the right. Focus on what you see. Repeat the exercise 5 times, and then do the same in the other direction. Repeat the entire cycle 3 times.
Rotation of the eyes
Sit up straight and relax. Look to the left and start slowly rotating your eyes clockwise. Make 5 full circles clockwise, and then counterclockwise. Repeat the entire cycle 3 times.
Near and far focus
Focus on the pencil. It should be at a distance of 20-30 cm from your eyes. Then look at some distant object. Focus on it and try to consider it in detail. Then look at the pencil again. Translate this look 5 times. Repeat the entire cycle 3 times.
Sit up straight. Look in front of you. Look at the point between the eyebrows. Focus on what you see in a few seconds. Then again look in front of you. Translate this look 5 times. Repeat the entire cycle 3 times.
Sit up straight. Look in front of you. Look at the tip of the nose for a few seconds. Then look again before you. Translate this way 5 times. Repeat the entire cycle 3 times.
Massage. The first way
Close your eyes. Close your eyes tightly for 2-3 seconds. Then relax the muscles around the eyes. Close your eyes again. Repeat 10 times.
Massage. The second way
Close your eyes. Gently massage your eyelids in a circular motion. Lightly press. Do not try to press too hard. Make 10 circular motions, first clockwise, then counterclockwise
