Description medications: metazid (Methazidum)

Metazid (Methazidum). 1, 1-Methylene-bis- (izonikotinoilgidrazid). White or white with Valium a white crystalline powder. Practically insoluble in water.

By TB activity close to ftivazidu.

Is the inside. The dose for adults is usually 0.5 g of 2 times daily, for children - a rate of 0.02 - 0.03 g / kg (20 - 30 mg / kg) per day (less than 1 g daily); daily dose given 2 - 3 doses.

Higher doses for adults inside: single 1 g daily 2 grams

The drug is generally well tolerated. Prolonged use may aggravate the same as when receiving other derivatives of isonicotinic acid hydrazide.

Indications and contraindications are the same as for ftivazida.
