Description of the medicine: Sodium tetraborate (Natrii tetraboras)

SODIUM TETRABORAT (Natrii tetraboras).

Synonyms: Bura, Sodium boronate, Natrium biboricum, Borax, Natrium tetraboricum.

Colorless transparent, easily eroding crystals or white crystalline powder. Soluble in water (1:25 in cold and 2: 1 in boiling), glycerin, insoluble in alcohol. Aqueous solutions have a brackish-alkaline taste and an alkaline reaction.

Apply externally as an antiseptic in adults for rinsing, lubricating the skin (with diaper rash, bedsores), douching.

Tablets << Bicarmint >> (Tabulettae <Bicarmintum>). Ingredients: sodium tetraborate and sodium bicarbonate by 0.4 g, sodium chloride 0.2 g, menthol 0.002 g, mint oil 0.004 g.

Tablets of white color with a characteristic smell of peppermint and a cooling taste.

Applied as an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory for rinsing, rinsing, inhalation in the inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract. Dissolve 1 - 2 tablets in 1/2 cup of water.

Form release: tablets in glass test tubes of 10 pieces.
