It is used to treat scabies and pediculosis.
With scabies, 5% of the cream is rubbed into the skin from the head to the soles of the feet (in children, the scalp, temples and forehead are necessarily treated); after 8-14 hours, the cream must be washed off. If necessary, after 2 weeks the procedure is repeated.
In case of head lice, 1% cream or cream-shampoo is applied in sufficient quantity to the hair and skin (it can be rubbed into the hair roots), left for 10 or 40 minutes, then washed thoroughly with warm water and soap or shampoo and dried; the hair is combed with a frequent comb to remove nits and dead lice; if live lice are found, the treatment is repeated after 7 days. In the case of using undiluted (0.5%) solution, the hairy parts of the head and body are moistened with them, after 2–3 sneakers the hair is washed and dried; if necessary, repeat the procedure.
Possible side effects: burning sensation, tingling, numbness, increased itching, erythema, allergic reactions.
