Description medications: dopa (Dopanum)

Dopa (Dopanum). 5- [bis- (b chloroethyl -) - amino] -6-methyl-uracil.

Synonym: Chlorethylaminouracil.

White or white with a yellowish-gray tint crystalline powder with a bitter taste, and odorless. Practically insoluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol.

On chemical structure and effect on the body similar to embihina.

Apply with chlamydia, myeloid leukemia, (splenomegaly), chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

Assign inside after eating at a dose of 6 - 10 mg every 5 days (for children 0.1 - 0.2 mg / kg). The course of treatment consists of 5 - 7 of the preparation methods.

In chronic myelogenous leukemia administered 12 mg of 1 - 2 times through a 3 - 4 days, and then the dose is reduced to 10 mg with the same intervals. The total dose per course of treatment is 30 - 130 mg depending on tolerability, notably the reaction hematopoietic system of the patient.

Possible complications and side effects when applied dopa similar to those that may occur when applying embihina (except those associated with injections).

Methods of prevention and treatment of side effects are basically the same as when applying embihina.

Dopa relatively contraindicated in chlamydia, flowing against the background of weakening of bone marrow hematopoiesis, in particular at the level of leukocytes below 4, 5 x 10 9 / l and platelet count below 150 x 10 9 / L.

Do not use this dopa in acute leukemia, acute and fleeting forms limfogranulemetoza, as well as in chronic myeloid leukemia with a sharp aggravation of the disease, a rapid increase in the number of blood hemocytoblasts and progressive anemia.
