Description of the medicine: Temazepam (Temazepam)
Synonyms: Signopam, Signopam.
White crystalline powder. It is soluble in alcohol, poorly in water.
Refers to drugs of medium duration of action.
The drug is rapidly and completely absorbed in the digestive tract, C max is 2 hours, T 1/2 - 8-12 hours; metabolized in the liver, excreted by the kidneys in the form of inactive metabolites.
It is used as a sleeping pill (for violations of falling asleep), as well as for neurosis, neurasthenia and involutional depression.
Take at bedtime at 0.01-0.02 g (10-20 mg). When used in the usual dose (0.01 mg for adults), it does not have a pronounced aftereffect.
However, the use of the drug may be accompanied by the occurrence of drowsiness, memory impairment, impaired vision, liver and kidney function, dyspepsia, suppression of blood formation, and allergic reactions.
The drug is contraindicated in myasthenia gravis, impaired liver and kidney function, depression, alcohol intoxication, lung abstraction, anemia, and pregnancy.
Release form: tablets on 0,01 g (10 mg) (N20).
