Ketorolac (Ketorolas).

An inhibitor of prostaglandin biosynthesis.

Quickly and completely absorbed, with max of 40-50 minutes (when administered intravenously - 5 min); Write mainly kidneys.

It has a pronounced analgesic activity.

Apply with injuries, postoperative neuralgia, pain in patients with cancer and other pain syndromes.

Assign inside, intramuscularly and intravenously 0.01-0.03 g (10-30 mg) every 6-8 hours; the maximum daily dose - 0.09 g (for the elderly and debilitated patients - no more than 0.06 g). Duration of not more than 5 and 7 days in parenteral and enteral administration, respectively (for children - 2 days).

Possible side effects: diarrheal disorders, drowsiness, anxiety, swelling, pain at the injection site.

Contraindications: exacerbation of gastric ulcers, bronhospasticskie condition, severe renal failure, pregnancy and breast-feeding, age and 16 years of age.

Incompatible with drugs lithium, pentoxifylline, anticoagulants and NSAIDs; reduces the diuretic effect of furosemide; while taking with ACE inhibitors increases the likelihood of renal function.

Method of production: tablets of 0.01 g (10 mg) (20 N. The); 3% solution in vials and disposable syringes of 1 ml (30 mg).
