Description of the medicine: Salmeterol (Salmeterol)

SALMETHEROL (Salmeterol).

(+ -) - 4-Oxy-A1- [[[6- (4-phenylbutoxy) hexyl] amino] methyl] -meta-xylenyl-A, Al-1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate.

Is issued in the form of salt (quinaphoate).

Synonyms: Salmeter, Serevent, Salmeter, Serevent.

White or almost white powder. Moderately soluble in water, easily - in methanol, slightly - in ethanol and chloroform.

Relatively new selective B2-adrenostimulator of long-acting.

Applied for the prevention of asthma attacks and treatment of chronic bronchitis and other reversible bronchial obstructive diseases (for cupping bronchospasm is not used).

Assign inhalation for 2-4 inhalations (0.05-0.1 mg) 2 times a day.

The main side effects: tachycardia, headache, tremor, nervousness, dyspepsia, hypokalemia; Local reactions - rhinitis, laryngitis, itchy skin.

Contraindications: pregnancy, breast-feeding, age under 12 years.

With caution appoint patients with thyrotoxicosis, severe form of bronchial asthma and hypoxia.

Form release: metered-dose aerosol (25 μg / dose, 60 and 120 doses); Powder for inhalation in rotadisks (50 μg / dose, 4 doses).

Storage: List B. Aerosol cans should be stored at a temperature not higher than 25'C, away from fire and heat sources.

Seredid multidisk is a powder for inhalations, one dose of which contains 50 μg of salmeterol and 250 μg of glucocorticosteroid fluticasone (kutiveyt).
