Description of the medicine: Dydrogesterone

DIDROGESTERONE.

(9β, 10α) -Pregna-4,6-diene-3,20-dione.

Synonym: Duphaston, Duphaston.

It is a synthetic analog of progesterone. It is chemically different in that it has a second double bond in the pregnane cycle.

Applied with endogenous progestin deficiency: endometriosis, infertility, habitual and threatening miscarriage, premenstrual syndrome, dysmenorrhea, secondary amenorrhea and dysfunctional uterine bleeding.

Assign inside by 0.01 g (10 mg) 2-3 times a day: with endometriosis - from the 5th to the 25th day of the cycle or permanently; With infertility and menstrual cycle disorders - from the 11th to the 25th day of the cycle for 6 cycles; With the usual miscarriage - from the 11th to the 25th day of the cycle before the onset of conception, then permanently until 20 weeks of pregnancy, with dysfunctional uterine bleeding (in combination with estrogens) for 5-7 days before stopping bleeding; With amenorrhea - from the 11th to the 25th day of the cycle in combination with estrogens; With premenstrual syndrome - from the 12th to the 16th day of the cycle.

Possible side effects: acne, hives, swelling, dyspepsia, rarely jaundice.

The drug is contraindicated in pregnancy, uterine bleeding of unclear etiology, severe impairment of liver function, breast cancer, porphyria.

Form release: tablets of 0.01 g (10 mg) (N. 20).
