Description of the medicine: Eptifibatide (Eptifibatide)

EPTIFIBATIDE.

Synonym: Integrilin, Integriline.

Competitive antagonist of glycoprotein IIb / IIIa receptors of platelet peptides (low molecular weight).

Applied in complex therapy (usually in combination with heparin and acetylsalicylic acid) acute coronary syndrome (unstable angina, myocardial infarction without Q wave), as well as during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty.

Intravenous bolus was administered at a dose of 0.18 mg / kg, then infusion at a rate of 1-2 μg / kg per minute for up to 72 hours (with coronary angioplasty up to 96 hours).

Possible side effects: bleeding, rarely - thrombocytopenia.

Contraindications and precautions are the same as with abciximab.

Product: 0,075% solution for injection in bottles of 100 ml and 0.2% - 10 ml.
