Description of drug: Ifosfamide (Ifosfamide)

IFOSFAMID (Ifosfamide).

N, 3-bis (2-chloroethyl) tetrahydro-2H-1,3,2-oxazaphosphorin-2-amine-2-oxide.

Synonym: Holoxan, Holoxan.

White crystalline powder. Soluble in water.

The structure and mechanism of action is close to cyclophosphamide.

Assign (in combination with mesna) with soft tissue sarcomas, lung cancer, Ewing sarcoma, lymphomas, lymphogranulomatosis, breast cancer, cervix, ovaries, testicular tumors, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, tumors in children (sarcomas, Williams tumor, Neuroblastoma, germ cell tumors, malignant lymphomas).

Applied only intravenously at 3.5-5 g / m 2 once every 2 weeks or 1.2-2 g / m 2 for 3-5 days every 3 weeks or 10 g / m 2 1 time in a 3- 4 weeks.

Possible side effects: neurotoxicity, drowsiness, nephrotoxicity, nausea, vomiting, stomatitis, alopecia, mild leukopenia, allergic reactions.

Contraindications: leukopenia, impaired renal function, urinary tract infection, pregnancy, breast-feeding.

Ifosfamide should not be administered with a white blood cell count of less than 2 ∙ 10 9 / l and platelets less than 50 ∙ 10 9 / L.

Form release: lyophilized powder for a solution for internal administration in vials of 0.2; 0.5; 1 and 2 years.
