BARALGIN (Baralgin).

Combination preparation containing 0.5 g of analgin in one tablet, 0.005 g (5 mg) of pituophenone hydrochloride (choline blocker) and 0.0001 g (0.1 mg) of fenpiperinium bromide (ganglion blocker); A solution for injections in ampoules (5 ml) contains 2.5 g of analgin and the rest of the ingredients are 0.01 and 0.0001 g, respectively; Suppositories rectal - 1; 0.01 and 0.0001 g.

The drug has been widely used as an analgesic and antispastic agent, especially in renal, hepatic, intestinal colic, as well as spasmodic dysmenorrhea, spasms of coronary vessels and cerebral vessels.

Take usually inside 1 (rarely 2) tablet 1 - 3 times a day.

When acute pain is injected intramuscularly or intravenously (very slowly!) 5 ml (if necessary, repeat the injection after 6-8 hours). After removing acute pain, the drug is used in the form of rectal suppositories or tablets 2-4 times a day.

When using baralgina allergic reactions are possible, arterial hypotension, oligo- and anuria, soreness at the injection site, with prolonged use - granulocytopenia.

Due to the fact that the preparation contains 0.5 g of analgin in the tablet, appropriate precautions should be taken and contraindications should be taken into account.

Baralgin is contraindicated in closed-angle glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, tachyarrhythmia, during pregnancy (in the first trimester and in the last 6 weeks).
