Description of the medicine: Ketoprofen (Ketoprofen)

Ketoprofen. 2- (3-Benzoyl-phenyl) propionic acid.

Synonyms: Ketonal, Knavon, Profenide, Alreumant, Asozal, Dexal, Fastum, Kefenid, Ketonal, Ketoprosil, Knavon, Meprofen, Niflam, Oruvail, Ostofen, Profenid, Reumoqin, Rofenid, Synpofen and others.

By structure and action is close to ibuprofen. Quickly absorbed when taken orally. The peak concentration in blood plasma is observed after 1 to 2 hours.

Indications for use are the same as for ibuprofen and orthophene.

Assign inside (at meal time) to 0.05 g (50 mg) 3 to 4 times a day (1 capsule in the morning and afternoon and 2 capsules in the evening). In the evening, you can use it in the form of a suppository (0.1 g each).

Forms of release: capsules of 50 mg in a package of 25 capsules; Suppositories of 0.1 g.

It is also available in the form of a prolonged dosage form - in tablets 0.2 g (long-acting prolenidum, take 1 tablet a day) and 0.1 g (ketonal retard; take 1 tablet 2 times a day - after 12 hours).
