THE GRASS OF HERBAL (Herba Hyperici).

Collected in the flowering phase and dried grass of wild-growing or cultivated herbaceous plants of St. John's wort (Nurericum redratum L.) and St. John's wort (quadrangular) - Nureticum Masulatum Grantz (N. quadrangulum L.), family. (The Nurericaceae). It grows in the European part of our country, in the Caucasus, in Central Asia, Western Siberia.

Contains flavonoids (not less than 1, 5%), azulene, essential oil and other substances.

Apply topically as a tincture to lubricate the gums and mouthwash during the prevention and treatment of gingivitis and stomatitis, and sometimes inside as an astringent for colitis in the form of broths.

Product: in cardboard packs of 100 g.

Decoctions are made from grass or briquettes.

Briquettes of St. John's wort of a rectangular shape measuring 120 x 65 x 10 cm, weight 75 g, divided into 10 equal lobules of 7, 5 g. One lobe filled with a glass of boiling water, boiled for 10 minutes, cooled, filtered, taken internally (with colitis, diarrhea ) 1/3 cup 3 times a day; Also used for rinsing the mouth.

Tincture of St. John's wort (Tinctura Nurerici) 1: 5 on 40% alcohol. Transparent liquid is dark brown. Used as an astringent and anti-inflammatory in dental practice.
