Description of the medicine: Leaves of the large plantain (Folia Plantaginis majoris)
Leaves of the Great Plantain (Folia Plantaginis majoris).
Collected during flowering and dried leaves of a wild-growing and cultivated perennial herbaceous plantain greater (Plantain major L.), fam. plantain (Рlantaginaseae), growing throughout the territory of our country.
They contain polysaccharides, rinanthin glycoside, carotene, vitamin C, and tannins.
It is used as an expectorant (1 tablespoon of crushed leaves is insisted in a glass of boiling water for 15 minutes, filtered and taken in 1 tablespoon 2 to 3 times a day).
Also available in the form of briquettes. One briquette is insisted on a glass of boiling water for 15 minutes, filtered, taken, 2 tablespoons 2 3 times a day.
Release form: crushed raw materials in paper bags per 100 g.
Rp .: Inf. fol. Рlantaginis 10.0: 200 ml
DS 1 tablespoon 3 to 4 times a day
The preparations “Plantain Juice” (see) and Plantaglutsnd (see) obtained from plantain leaves are used as bitterness with reduced appetite and hypacid gastritis.
