Description medications: Moclobemide (Moclobemide)

Moclobemide (Moclobemide). 4-Chloro-N- (2-morpholinoethyl) -benzamide

Synonym: Aurorix.

The structure differs from eprobemide (see.) That contains in the side chain propyl group instead of ethyl.

Moclobemide is also an antidepressant - reversible inhibitor of MAO action and affects primarily as MAO type A.

Apply with depression of different etiology. The recommended dose is 250 - 400 mg per day.

Possible side effects and contraindications are basically the same as when using eprobemide.
