Name: Consolidated catalog of coins of Russia 1699-1917.
Author: Vladimir Bitkin
Annotation: This catalog of Bitkin is not a scientific research in the field of numismatics. This is just an attempt to create a collection of all the types, variants and main varieties of Imperial Russia coins known to the author from 1699 to 1917. This is a practical guide designed to help collectors, both beginners and experienced, understand the mass of Russian coins, classify them, separate novodels from genuine coins and determine the level of possible prices for this item. Prices are based on the analysis of auctions of Russian coins of the last century. The catalog includes not only originals, but also coins of novels, as many collectors collect newly made coins. In his catalog Bitkin gives an image of about 3500 coins. The illustrations are taken mainly from the tables of the "Corps of Russian Coins" by Grand Duke George Mikhailovich, "The Atlas of Peter I's Coins" by I. I. Gornung and V. Ya. Rushfon, V.Uzdenikov's books "Coins of Russia" and numerous auction catalogs of Russian coins , Also used photos of the author himself.
