| 1 | I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, [to] your reasonable service |

| 15 | Rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep. |
| 16 | Be of one mind among yourselves; do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly; do not dream about themselves; |
| 17 | Repay no one evil for evil, but take care to do good to all men. |
| 18 | If possible, on your part, live at peace with all men. |
| 19 | Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath [of God]. For it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord. |
| 20 | So, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt his head heap coals of fire. |
