Psalm 129

| . (128-1) ^^ ^^ Song of Ascents Much have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say: |
| (128-2), many have they afflicted me from my youth, but have not prevailed against me. |
| (128-3) At the ridge my screaming oratai made long their furrows. |
| (128-4) The LORD is righteous: he hath cut the bonds of the wicked. |
| (128-5) Let them be confounded and turned back that hate Zion; |
| (128-6) Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, that before one is removed, dries, |
| (128-7) of which the reaper does not fill his hand, and astringent sheaves - a handful of his; |
| (128-8) and passing by will not say: `blessing of the Lord be upon you; we bless you in the name of the Lord! ' |
