Karpov F. F. How to choose the cross-section of wires and cables. Ed. 3rd, revised. M., "Energy", 1973. 72 pp. With silt. (B-ka electrician, issue 386).
The brochure contains the instructions and calculations necessary to select wire cross-sections and cables of elementary networks up to 1000 V. Explanations of calculation methods are accompanied by solutions of numerical examples. The purpose of the brochure is to serve as a tool for the electrician when installing and operating electrical networks of industrial enterprises, collective farms and state farms, apartment houses and settlements.

Preface to the book "How to choose the cross-section of wires and cables"
The introduction of 35-110 kV transmission lines is envisaged for the creation of new and development of separate nodes of this voltage network to improve the reliability of power supply of 6-10 kV mains mainly in rural areas.
When installing and operating electrical networks up to 1 000 V, an electrician often has to choose the cross-sections of wires and cables.
This brochure should help to select correctly the sections of wires and cables of power and lighting networks with voltage up to 1 000 V. These include power and lighting networks of industrial enterprises, outdoor networks of residential settlements, collective and state farms, internal electrical wiring of apartment houses and public buildings.
When compiling the present, 3rd edition of the brochure, the wishes of the wiring and operating organizations, individual readers were taken into account.
