6.2. PLACE OF INSTALLATION AND APPOINTMENT OF RCD

Installation RCD should be provided in the ASP, located in rooms without increased risk of electric shock, in places accessible for maintenance.

The choice of the location of the RCD in the group circuits of the electrical installation of buildings should be carried out taking into account the inclusion in the area of the RCD primarily sections of the electrical group circuit with the greatest likelihood of electrical shock to people when touched by live or open conductive parts of electrical equipment, which may be under stress due to insulation damage (socket groups , Bathrooms, shower rooms, washing machines, rooms with increased danger of electric shock, etc.).

RCDs intended for fire protection shall be installed at the main input of the facility.

In multi-apartment houses, RCDs are recommended to be installed in group, including apartment flaps, their installation in floor distribution boards, in individual houses - in the ASP and floor distributors.

In power supply schemes of radial type with a significant number of outgoing groups, it is recommended to install a common input and a separate RCD for each group (consumer), provided that the RCD parameters that selectively select them are appropriately selected.

When choosing the location of the RCD in the building, it is necessary to take into account: the way of installation of wiring, the material of buildings, the assignment of RCD, the operating conditions for electrical safety, the RCD parameters, the class of rooms, the wiring diagrams for electrical appliances, etc.
