• Preparation of documents

  Required documents:

• Modern Greek Courses

  

  Once an applicant is enrolled in a Greek university, he is granted the right to take a course of study Modern Greek as a foreign language at the Faculty of Philosophy of Athens State University. Duration of the course - the academic year, during which you can acquire not only knowledge of modern Greek language, sufficient for further studies, but also to find a lot of friends from around the world - America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia, who came to study in Greece.
  In late May, student exams, which take place in three stages:
  writing (grammar and writing on your proposed topic)
  verbal (description of what he saw in the photo and answer questions of the examiner)
  listening (listening to audio tapes - test).

  Documents that need to provide courses in Modern Greek:
  A copy of the certificate of education, translated into Greek in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece;
  Copy of the passport;
  A copy of the residence permit or student visa;
  Copy of certificate confirming the admission to the university;
  A copy of the payment for the courses of Modern Greek;
  Two photos (passport standard).

  There are 3 program studying Modern Greek as a foreign language.

  Program №1 - annual program
  Duration of program: from the end of September until the end of May. Teaching Hours: 15 hours per week.

  №2 program - Accelerated
  Duration of program: from the beginning of December to the end of May.
  Teaching Hours: 15 hours per week.

  Program number 3 - summer program
  Duration of program: from early June to late July. Teaching Hours: 20 hours per week.

  The summer program is essential for those students who did not collect the required number of points (5 minimum passing score) to receive the certificate.

  The universities used a scale of assessments, which is the highest score - 10, and the minimum passing score - 5.

  0 - 4.9 - unsatisfactory
  5 - 6.9 - Satisfactory
  7 - 8.4 - good
  8.5 - 10 - Excellent

  In May and September, you are given the opportunity to take examinations in Modern Greek. After receiving the certificate confirming the level of knowledge of Greek language, you have the right to proceed to the university studies. Most university attendance is free.
