Obtaining an image on a metal surface is based on the properties of chromium-plated colloids to be blown under the action of light. The tool described below allows you to get a line art .

A well polished or even frosted metal plate is degreased in hot soapy water, washed under a stream of water and dried.

On a dried plate pour a small number of solution, consisting of the following components:
1) Joiner adhesive (peeled) - 30 gr ;
2) Egg white (whipped into a foam) - 15 g ;
3) Ammonium dichromate - 2.5 g ;
4) Ammonium alcohol - 3: 4 drops ;
5) Water - 100 ml.

Ammonium dichloride is ground in a porcelain mortar and is also dissolved separately in 50 ml of water. To the rest of the water elements add protein, but then glue. Both solutions are mixed. The mixture is allowed to stand for 10-12 hours , after which it is filtered through cotton wool. The solution retains its properties for three to four days.

Joiner's glue is cleaned by the following method, 25 grams of joinery is also mixed with 25 g of adhesive glue, filling the mixture with 50 ml of water, leave it for swelling. Then the mash is melted on a steam bath, egg white is added (half-egg), thoroughly mixed and boiled for 10 minutes . In a hot solution pour 0.1 g of chrome alum in powder, stir the solution and pour into a narrow cylindrical vessel (beaker). After some time the protein, but with it also all the impurities will settle on the bottom. After gelation, the mass of the vessel wall is slightly heated, and the mass also falls easily from the inverted vessel. The upper also the lower layers of the mass are cut with a knife, but the remaining purified glue is used to prepare the mortar.

After pouring the solution onto a metal plate, it allows it to spread evenly over the entire surface, for which the plate is tilted in different directions, or rolled with a rubber roller. The excess solution is poured from the corner of the plate back into the bottle. Plate is placed vertically for drying (in a darkened room).

Next, we prepare the desired image in any graphic program such as Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, etc. Then we translate it into a negative (for example, in Adobe Photoshop - the Image / Settings - Invert menu .

We print on the inkjet (laser) printer the image in the mirror on the transparent film. We put the highest print resolution. The optimal variation for a photo image is 2400 * 1200 dpi , for graphics - 1440 * 720 dpi , for schemes, text, bar code information - 720 * 720 dpi .

On a dried plate, a dashed negative is applied, placed in a copying frame, and also exposed in bright light. Exposure is determined by the old route.

The exposed plate is lowered into a cuvette with water at room temperature, shaking the cuvette, displayed for about 1 minute . After that, the plate is slightly rinsed under a weak stream of water and immersed in a 1% aqueous solution of aniline dye, in which the invisible until this image is painted and made visible. The color of the image will depend on the color of the dye (for example, if you add a scarlet paint - the tone of the image will be reddish). After staining, the plate is well washed in running water and dried.

Another means is that the exposed plate is rolled with a rubber roller covered with a thin layer of finely ground lithographic paint, which is later developed in water, washed, dried and varnished with any clear varnish.
