The template you offer is an attempt to create a more comfortable workplace for a person who produces design documentation, circulars and instructions, can be useful for students. This is a collective product, in addition to the KGB lab development, it contains some very good utilities borrowed from other authors (details under the "info" button), for which they are very grateful. The template is not commercial and is distributed freely, the latest version can be found on the KGB laboratory website .

Installation

Replace your template with a new one.

It is usually located here - C: \ Program Files \ Microsoft Office \ Templates \ Normal.dot.

Start Word, turn off all the panels 1 except "Standard NEW" and "Formatting NEW".

Uninstalling

If you did not like it, just delete Normal.dot, the next time you start MS Word, it will restore the original template.

Formats

In the template there are formats (angular stamps) for sheet A4. Honestly, they do not exactly correspond to the ESKD (7 mm fields), but they can be printed on most laser printers. Formats can be freely installed on any sheet of the document and deleted without loss of information. Formats with different angular stamps should be used in different sections of the document, it is recommended to set the following fields in the sections:

  • Stamp 55 mm - Bottom 65 mm; Left 25 mm; The remaining 10 mm each
  • Stamp 40 mm - Bottom 50 mm; Left 25 mm; The remaining 10 mm each
  • Stamp 15 mm - Bottom 25 mm; Left 25 mm; The remaining 10 mm each
  • Specification - Does not matter

For specifications it is desirable to pre-prepare an empty sheet (page break), because They use the entire area of ​​the sheet and just block the existing text. Some fields in dies are filled automatically (as in this example) using document properties. After changing these properties, the fields will have to be updated, or you can fill them in manually. Unfortunately Word does not know how to type "upside down" and in the additional upper stamp a WordArt element is used, after editing which you will have to find its sizes.

Of course, it's more convenient to draw diagrams in some kind of CAD. But for small illustrations when describing a project, it's easier to sketch it directly in Word than load CAD and fiddle with clipboard or import / export files. The template contains the primitives of most schema elements, and the missing ones can easily be created from rectangles, lines and combinations of available ones. Be sure to turn on the binding grid 0.25 cm. You will need no more than 10 minutes to draw a diagram similar to the one below.

Brochure

Very useful utility for making your documents in the form of a book. Book format A5 can consist of one or more notebooks, you can control the number of sheets in the notebook, numbering, fields. The utility correctly translates source code with format saving, processes images (except for auto shapes and WordArt objects) and tables (tables are better to do immediately not wider than 11 cm), the labels are converted to plain text with borders, all sections are combined into one, and footnotes will be Are added to the end of the book. At the same time, you do not risk losing your document, the utility does all of the above manipulations with a new document.

In order not to get confused when you get the brochure to the printer, there is one more utility - "Print Wizard".

Combining documents

Typical situation - you have a bunch of scattered, but related to a single topic documents. This can be in the collective work on the project, with correspondence with someone, when collecting scraps from articles, and in a thousand more cases. Sooner or later, but you'll have to clean up and get rid of junk. The proposed utility will collect all files from the specified folder (input formats txt; doc; rtf; htm; html), sort them by date or name and merge all into one document. You can use delimiters of the form:

Processing of MS-DOS texts

You know how hard it is to give a presentable appearance to the DOS text, in which at the end of each line there is a paragraph symbol, tabulation and centering are indicated by spaces, and the words are broken with the "-" sign. In this template there is a utility for processing similar texts, it will cope with the listed problems and help you process interrupt signs. After running the utility, you will only have to put on a light make-up.

Language

If during work you actively switch from Russian to English and vice versa, mistakes inevitably occur. And two are mistaken, you start to beat the text not in that layout, and the computer does not know which dictionary to check spelling. Utilities from the language group will translate your "ntrcn" into "text" and clear the document of the terrible red snakes.

Document pane

Analog Task Bar (task bar) Windows. If you have several documents open at once (and usually it is), and you switch from one to another every now and then, this thing is just a salvation for you.
