Echinodorus cordifolius

Homeland: Southern States of the USA and Mexico

If this plant is well looked after, it reaches a decent height and forms large heart-shaped leaves. Nutrient soil, in which fertilizers must be added after certain periods of time (culture in separate vessels is possible), as well as strong and prolonged lighting almost always bring success. A necessary precondition for this is a fairly spacious aquarium. The water level can not be too low (50 - 60 cm), and thus special requirements are again imposed on the luminaires. Reproduction is guaranteed first of all by good illumination.
