The underwater leaves of this plant taper to the ends, while the above-water leaves resemble the saber in shape. In the thickness of the water, the leaves reach a length of 30 cm, and the width is not less than 2 cm. In parallel to the strong middle vein there are 3 - 6 longitudinal veins. This plant, strong and unpretentious, is usually used in the composition in the background. It multiplies rapidly by sprouts. The need for lighting is also not very high. Dense, nutrient-rich soil awakens high growth activity in it. On the tuberous rhizomes there are rosettes of leaves. This marsh plant can be used for aquariums with both warm and cold water.
