Shilbovye catfish (Schilbeidae)

These are real children of the tropics. They are found in Africa and in tropical regions of Asia: in Indochina and the Greater Sunda Islands. The most common in Europe is Eutropiellus vandeweyeri (although under a different - and wrong - the name E. debauwi). The fact is that the first comes from Nigeria and the other from eastern Zaire. With regard to the most commonly imported species of African eutropiellov, this mobile schooling fish, which can not be kept separate: they hide and die. At the same time they do not like the company of large and brash fish, because they themselves quite peaceful. Preferring to live feed, they nevertheless get used to the fresh frozen meat and food th (in part) to the dry product. Water should not be too hard; pH 6.6 - 6.8.
