Recommendations for the care of the plant Dracaena:

Illumination : Needs bright, but diffused light.

Irrigation regime : Moderate, by the measure of drying of the soil. In the winter, outlandish.

He does not adore in any way the overflow, nor the drying out of the earth.

Humidity : Requires regular spraying and washing under the shower.

For the summer, it is better to place Dracaena in a fresh atmosphere (in a park or on a balcony), in a room protected from wind and from direct sunlight.

Temperature regime : In summer the temperature should be moderate, in winter it is cool.

Soil: Drainage is mandatory. It is useful to add charcoal and brick crumbs.

Recommended soil mishmash: 1 share of sod land, 1 share of leaf land, 1 proportion of overgrown manure and 1/2 elements of sand.

When a snow-white deposit appears on the surface of the soil, the top layer must be replaced. It seems useful to periodically loosen the upper layer of the earth.

During the growth period, it needs fertilizing once every 2 weeks with complex fertilizers ("Giant", "Rainbow" "Ideal", etc.)

Breeding : In the spring, in the soil heating and using phytohormones, the apical or caulis cuttings root. Green forms of dracaena also reproduce by seeds.

Transplantation : In the spring 1 time in 2 years.

Pests : Dracaena is most often affected by scutes (leaves and stems appear brown plaques, leaving sticky discharge).

And in dry air and heat, thrips may appear - a small black flying insect leaving typical silvery streaks on the leaves.

The plant is allowed to help finish with a soap solution, warm washing and spraying with an actinic (1-2 ml per liter of water).
