From the outside it looked as if all the nuclear fuel buried under Sarcophagus had flown into the air at once. A day later the government troops completely encircled the new Zone. With the help of satellites it was possible to find out that the epicenter of the explosion was not in the blocks of the NPP itself, but in a kilometer away from them.
It is believed that all the personnel of the station died immediately, but many other people remained inside the ring ring. It was not possible to organize rescue operations, as military units and equipment sent deep into the stricken territory almost immediately died. After some time after the accident, the diameter of the Zone jumped by several kilometers. Most of the government troops guarding the perimeter, and the scientific laboratories that were there, instantly died.
The panic began; Residents of surrounding villages and cities were in a hurry evacuated or fled themselves. The world is in danger, the size of which can still only be guessed.
2008 year
Two years have passed since the terrible catastrophe occurred in the exclusion zone around the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. A large number of dead and missing people, fallen cattle, blackened buildings, mutilated forest ...
Scientists still can not give an explanation for what happened. And the Zone, inside which absolutely fantastic anomalies were found, in the meantime grows. Rare expeditions are faced with mutated species of animals that have amazing features.
2010 year
In the wake of desperate lone stalkers, scientific expeditions are again taking place for a large-scale study of the Zone. However, inside the perimeter guarded by the army there are already a lot of "unaccounted-for persons" - up to poachers and bandits. Most of the stalkers travel around the Zone in search of a variety of abnormal formations - the so-called artifacts, for which often quite good money.
Army units, including special forces, led by detachments of military stalkers, undertook a major expedition into the Zone in order to break through to the Chernobyl NPP and destroy the alleged cause of the death of anomalous fields, or finally obtain reliable information about the processes taking place there.
This enterprise, which was attended by more than a thousand people and a lot of equipment, completely failed. Separate groups of survivors settled on the territory of the Zone without much hope of salvation ...
2011
Despite the mortal danger, human interest in the Zone does not stop. Inside the perimeter penetrates more and more adventurers in the hope of earning a mystical wealth. The increase in the number of stalkers of all stripes and backgrounds contributes to the formation of groups and clans pursuing their own interests in the Zone.
Such a process, along with the growing popularity of stalkerism, irreversibly leads to inter-clan conflicts, which soon turn into a ruthless war. The struggle for territories and spheres of influence involves literally all the stalker forces in the Zone. It will take more than a month for the passions to subside, and the main groups will finally settle on the territories that they have seized.
During this period, a new grouping called "Clear Sky" unexpectedly appears and disappears in the Theater of the Zone's military operations. According to rumors, the founders of this clan are directly related to the experiments that caused the appearance of the Zone. Traces of them, however, disappear without a trace in the depths of the Zone, as well as many other things.
year 2012
Present time. Stalking has already formed as a phenomenon. Areas of influence of groupings are divided, underground sale of artifacts is adjusted, much is learned, but it is even more necessary to investigate and understand. If anyone at all will be able to understand the Zone ...
