Rules of the game. Card game in Kozla has a huge number of varieties. It is quite difficult even to formulate the rules of the classic Goat, since throughout Russia the classical rules in the Kozl differ. I also know that they like to play for money with the goat. Today, you can even play online on many sites. Let's try to derive the general rules of the game. The first deliverer in the game is determined by a lot, in the next games the players take the cards in turn. The deck is carefully shuffled, removed. Then play one of the options:
First - each player is dealt 4 cards, the remaining deck is put in the center of the table, the top card opens this trump card and is placed under the bottom of the deck;
The second - the deck is divided into two parts, from the first part of the deck each player is dealt 4 cards, the second part of the deck is postponed until the second game. The cards are dealt from right to left, so that the last card dealt belongs to the player to the left of the handler. The last card opens and becomes a trump card for two games. This card remains with the player to the left of the handler.
After that, there is a rally of bribes. The first move belongs to the player to the left of the handler. A player can be like any of his cards, all other players clockwise can also put any card. The strategy of the game is that the player must discard the opponent empty or bad cards on points, and he must try to take cards that cost a lot of points. If you play the first option, then after the bribe is played, players get one card each, so that there are 4 cards on hand and continue to draw bribes. If you play the second option, then only 4 bribes are played. Jacks play a special role in the game. The jack of spades beats off trumps and red jacks. The werewolf jack beats off the trump and the jack of diamonds. The Knave of Diamonds only beats one trump card. When the cards in the first half of the deck are over, they take the other half. The seniority of jacks can be different. In our company it is accepted to play like that. When the cards in the hands of the players run out, the players begin to count points for the cards. The first option is played until one of the players gets 60 points or more. In the second variant, players count the points only after the second game, if no player scores 60 points or more, the game is canceled and the game starts again. In both versions of the game, the winner is the player who will score 60 points or more.
