Manufacturing of bonsai. Master Class.

Bonsai are perfectly ordinary trees, such as beech, maple, pine or spruce, which are planted in pots and for many years give them a certain shape and look after them. Thus, "bonsai" is called a small tree in a pot (bowl).

In principle, for bonsai fit any tree species that have small leaves and in which, after pruning, many young shoots quickly grow. Trees with large leaves are rarely used or not used at all.

When you make bonsai yourself, you must take into account certain laws and principles of composition. The traditional version includes a container, soil, sapling and moss.

In natural conditions, ficuses often grow on rocks and rocks, while forming a large number of air roots, which are necessary for additional water, air supply and performing a supporting function at the same time. This is what you can use to create bonsai from the ficus .

Necessary materials for planting a future bonsai on a stone:
- a small porous stone that mimics the rock and absorbs water well, preferably with cracks and depressions (if not enough, use additional tools to make additional ones)
- clay
- primer for ficuses
- pieces of moss
- wire or rope
- grid
- flat dish without drainage holes

Instruments
- brush
- cutting pliers

	1. Dilute a dense "boltushka" from clay (40%) and soil for ficus (60%).
	2. Coat the stone with it, rubbing the mixture into all the cracks and the holes in the stone, 2-3 cm in thickness.
	3. Remove the ficus from the pot and free its roots from the substrate.
	4. Find the most interesting from the aesthetic point of view position for the tree and place it on the stone. Evenly spread all the roots along its surface, paying special attention to the location of larger and more expressive ones.
	5. Fix the roots on the stone with a flat soft rope or wire in a plastic sheath. Try not to damage the roots and bark on the trunk, putting a soft plastic mesh.
	6. Cover the roots with pieces of moss.
	7. Your bonsai is ready.
