BILLIGNOST (Billignostum).

Bis (2, 4, 6-triiodo-3-carboxyanilide) adipic acid.

Synonyms: Adipiodine, Biligrafin, Cholografin, Cholospect, Endografin, Intrabilix, Iodipamide, Jodipamide, Radioselectan, Sodium iodipamide.

White or almost white fine crystalline powder, slightly bitter taste. Almost nerastvorim in water and alcohol. Easily soluble in solutions of caustic alkalis. Contains about 65% of iodine.

Produced in the form of a 50% solution of methyl glucamine salt (Solutio Bilignosti 5% pree injectionibus).

Transparent liquid of yellowish color; PH 7, 0 - 8, 0.

Applied for radiographic examination of the biliary tract and gallbladder.

For the study, inject a vein for 4 to 5 minutes with 20 ml of the solution warmed to body temperature. After 20 - 25 minutes, you can get an image of the bile ducts, and after 2 - 2, 5 hours - the image of the gallbladder. Children are injected at 0.5 - 0.75 ml / kg.

Before the test, a tolerance test is carried out by injecting 1 to 2 ml of the solution into the vein.

The drug is usually well tolerated. In some cases, you may experience dizziness, chills, nausea, vomiting, lower blood pressure. These phenomena usually pass by themselves; If necessary, the inhalation of oxygen and the administration of 1 ml of a 5% solution of ephedrine under the skin. If in the past the patient had allergic reactions, it is advisable to give him diphenhydramine or another antihistamine drug for several days before the administration of bilignot.

Contraindications to use obturative jaundice, acute liver and kidney disease, decompensation of cardiac activity, sharply expressed forms of Graves' disease.

Storage: in a cool, dark place.

When storing bilyognost solutions, crystals may fall out or crystallize the contents of the ampoule. In these cases, the ampoule is heated in a water bath. If the crystals completely disappear and the solution becomes transparent, and upon cooling to 36-38 С, the crystals do not fall again, the solution is suitable for use.
