The trans-form of retinoic acid (has the same structure as cis-form - see Isotretinoin).

Locally used as a cream, solution or lotion for external use. Apply a thin layer on the affected areas 1-2 times a day. The course of treatment 4-6 or more (up to 14) weeks. Typically, the drug is used at 0.05% concentration. In case of insufficient effect and good tolerance, 0.1% concentration is used. Treated skin areas should be protected from sunlight. The drug should not fall into the eyes and mucous membranes.
