Atenolol is a selective (cardioselective) b 1 adrenoblokatorom. Partial sympathomimetic activity is not.
Different duration of action. The half-life is 6 9h. Suitable orally in tablet form once (or twice) a day.
Indications and contraindications are the basic same as for other b 1 adrenoblokatorov. In connection with a selective effect on the b 1 adrenergic receptors are relatively well tolerated and can be administered to patients with a tendency to bronhiolospazmu and peripheral vascular spasm smenshim risk than non-selective b-adrenoblokatorov.
Assign inside a single dose of 0.05 - 0.1 g (50 - 100 mg = 1/2 - 1 tablet).
