Description of the medicine: Terpin hydrate (Terpinum hydratum)

Terpin hydratum. Para-Mentanediol-1, 8-hydrate.

Colorless transparent crystals or a white crystalline powder without a smell, slightly bittersweet taste. Slightly soluble in water (1: 250 in cold and 1: 34 in boiling), soluble in alcohol.

Assign inside yourself and in combination with other drugs as an expectorant (for chronic bronchitis). Doses: for adults - 0.25-0.5 g, for children under 1 year - 0.025-0.05 g, up to 2 years 0.05 g, 3 - 4 years - 0.1 grams. 5 - 6 years - 0,15 g, 7 - 9 years - 0,2 g, 10 - 14 years - 0,25 - 0,3 g.

Contraindications: gastritis and peptic ulcer disease stomach and duodenum.

Form release: powder and tablets (0.25 and 0.5 grams); Combined tablets with sodium hydrocarbonate.

Storage: in well-closed container.
