Description medicines: No-spa (No-Spa)

No-spa (No-Spa) *. 1- (3, 4-Dietoksibenziliden) -6, 7-diethoxy-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrahydroisoquinoline hydrochloride.

Synonyms: Drotaverinum, Drotaverine hydrochloride, Deprolen, Dihydroethaverine, Nospan, Nospasin, Tetraspasmin.

The crystalline material of light yellow color and odorless. Soluble in water and alcohol. On chemical structure and pharmacological action is very similar to papaverine, has a stronger and longer spasmolytic activity.

Applied with stomach cramps and bowel, spastic constipation, bilious attacks, and urolithiasis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer (preferably in combination with anticholinergic), sometimes with peripheral vascular spasm (endarteritis, etc.).

The inside of 0.04 - 0.08 g of (1 - 2 tablets) 2 - 3 times a day. If necessary, the same dose is administered (2 - 4 ml of 2% solution) intramuscularly. In attacks of hepatic and renal colic, angina administered 2 - 4 ml of 2% solution intravenously (slowly!). When violations of the peripheral circulation (artery occlusive disease) are sometimes administered intraarterially (slowly!).

Babies administered in smaller doses of age (1/2 by 1/4 tablet 1 - 2 times a day).

The drug is generally well tolerated. For parenteral administration may be hot flashes, dizziness, palpitations, sweating. Cases of allergic dermatosis.

Method of issuance: pills to 0.04 grams in a package of 100 pieces; 2% solution in 2 ml ampoules (0.04 g) in a package of 5 or 50 vials. Storage: List B.

Nikoshpan (Nicospanum) *. Combined product, which is composed of no-spa and nicotinic acid.

The combination of these substances provides increased vasodilatory effect (see. Niacin). By the principle of action of the drug close to Nikoverin (cm.).

Applied with cramps brain vessels and peripheral circulatory disorders - (intermittent claudication, thromboangiitis, and others.).

Assign inside of 1 - 3 tablets a day (after meal) or 1 ml of 2 (1.2 - 1 ampoule) under the skin or intramuscular 1 - 2 times a day. If necessary slowly injected intravenously 1 ml. In peripheral circulatory disorders (thromboangiitis obliterans) was added (slowly) in the femoral artery of 1 - 2 ml.

When using nikoshpan possible temporary reddening of the face, then the whole body, feeling the heat. These phenomena are especially pronounced when taking the drug on an empty stomach and linked to the pharmacological action of the drug within the component (see. Method of issuance: pills to 0,078 g (78 mg) shpy and 0,022 g (22 mg) of nicotinic acid; in ampoules of 0.0642 g (64 2 mg) shpy and 0.0176 g (17, 6 mg), nicotinic acid (2 mL).

By the action of the tablets "Nikoverin" (cm.) Are very close to nikoshpanu.

Bishpan (Bisranum) *. Combined preparation sold in the form of tablets containing 0.06 g (60 mg) shpy and 0.005 g (5 mg) holinoliticheskogo izopropamida preparation (2, 2-diphenyl-4-diisopropyl-aminobutyramide).
