Retabolil (Retabolil). 19-Nor-testosterone 17-b -dekanoat.

Synonyms: Abolon, Anabosan-Depot, Deca -Durabolin, Decanandroline, Dekanabol, Eubolin, Fortabolin, Hormoretard, Nandrolone decanoate, Nandroloni decanoas, Nortestosterondecanoat, Superbolan, Turinabol-Depo and others.

It has a strong and long-lasting anabolic effect. After injection, the effect occurs in the first 3 days, reaching a peak by the 7th day and lasts at least 3 weeks. Low toxicity. It has even less androgenic (and virilizing) effect than fenobolin.

The main indications for use are the same as for other anabolic steroids. In connection with the duration of action (relatively rare injection) drug useful for treating children.

Administered intramuscularly in the form of an oil solution for adults 0.025 - 0.05 g (25 - 50 mg), 1 to 2 - 3 weeks; in the course of 8 - 10 injections. Babies administered 1 every 3 - 4 weeks: the body weight of 10 kg - 0.005 g (5 mg), 10 - 20 kg - 0.0075 g (7 5 mg), 20 - 30 kg - 0.01 g (10 mg) 30 - 40 kg - 0.015 g (15 mg), 40 - 50 kg - 0.02 g (20 mg), more than 50 kg - 0.025 g (25 mg).

The drug is contraindicated in breast and prostate cancer, pregnancy. Caution is needed when there is insufficient liver and kidney function.

In applying the drug in patients with diabetes may experience a decrease in insulin requirements, and therefore need to carefully check the glucose tolerance.
