Neuroblastoma

Neuroblastoma. Occur in the sympathetic nerves and ganglia, as well as in the medullary layer of the adrenal glands. Most often develop in the adrenal gland and the underlying tissue, then from the ganglion of the neck, posterior mediastinum, retroperitoneal space and abdominal cavity. This form accounts for up to 10% of all malignant tumors of childhood. At the age of 1 year, 60% of tumors are diagnosed, between the 1st and 2nd years of life-26%, in children over 2 years -14%.

Neuroblastomas are very malignant tumors metastasizing to the skeleton or liver. Metastases in the lungs are rare. Possible spontaneous differentiation of this tumor in a benign nevanglion. Markers of tumor growth are catecholamines.

Treatment combined - surgery in combination with radiation and chemotherapy (cyclophosphamide, vincristine, adriablastin, cisplatin). On average, the 3-year survival rate is 30%.
