Frigidity (frigidity)

Frigidity (sexual coldness) - a complete lack of or reduced sexual desire in women, specific sexual sensation and orgasm. In some cases frigidity may be accompanied by painful sensations, or aversion to intercourse.

Etiology. There is usually a combination of several factors (physical, mental and microsocial). Frigidity often accompanied by a psychopath, the endogenous psychoses, character accentuation (women with excessive suspiciousness, indecision, shyness, tendency to fixation on negative emotions).

At times, provoking the emergence of frigidity, are exogenous factors with primary or secondary involvement of the sexual sphere: psychological trauma associated with rough defloration, attempt to rape, fear of pregnancy or publicity relationship, physical aversion to the partner, excessive fixation on the absence of orgasm, as well as asthenia any etiology, depressive, hypochondriacal condition and other mental disorders. Frigidity promote neurohumoral disorders (eg, ovarian dysfunction, androgen deficiency, loss of deep structures of the brain) and segmental lesions of the nervous system (trauma, tumor or other origin), leading to disruption of the sensitivity and specific loss of sexual sensation and orgasm. Sometimes frigidity is a consequence of congenital malformations of sexual organs, the insolvency of the pelvic floor muscles, blood supply insufficiency of venous plexus, inflammatory diseases, impede sexual intercourse.
